Kim Jonghyeon (JR) To Take Strict Action Against Sasaengs

Former NU’EST member Kim Jonghyeon (JR) has announced strict action against sasaeng fans (those who stalk or severely invade the privacy of public figures).

On March 17, Kim Jonghyeon’s agency EVERMORE Entertainment shared the following statement on the artist’s social media:

Hello. This is EVERMORE Entertainment.

We are always thankful for the love you send our agency artist.

This is an announcement regarding a few situations that fans are concerned about.

We are aware of the invasion of our artist’s privacy and threats to his safety, and are paying close attention to the specific person who continues to repeat these situations.

Even so, we have defined these repeated behaviors as sasaengs and have come to the conclusion that sanctions are needed.

Starting today, we plan to revoke the official fan club qualifications of the person threatening [Kim Jong Hyeon’s] safety and want to share that they have been banned from partaking in all schedules related to the artist.

Additionally, if more invasion of our artist’s privacy or disorderly conduct is discovered later on, we will respond more strongly.

In the future too, we will prioritize our artist’s safety and do our best to ensure a safe environment. Thank you.
