Spoilers
In the drama’s latest episode, High Priest Rembrary and Wild Animal’s manager Kim Dal (Go Bo Gyeol) were able to confirm their romantic feelings for one another. At the same time, the other world’s King of Darkness (Lee Jang Woo) applied full pressure on his attempt to take High Priest Rembrary down, while the suspicious acts of Redlin (Cha Joo Young), the god whom High Priest Rembrary devoutly serves, finally came to light.
With only two episodes remaining of “The Heavenly Idol,” here are four key points to focus on as the drama wraps up!
High Priest Rembrary’s final decision
After a confrontation with the King of Darkness, High Priest Rembrary randomly ended up switching bodies with Woo Yeon Woo, an unpopular idol. In order to return to his original body, High Priest Rembrary had no choice but to succeed with his group Wild Animal. This required him to adapt to the idol life overnight, having to appear on variety shows, show off his aegyo (a display of affection or acting cute), and much more. However, High Priest Rembrary faced an unexpected turning point when he began falling in love with Kim Dal, Wild Animal’s manager. For Kim Dal and their relationship, High Priest Rembrary eventually decided to stay instead of returning to the other world.
Unfortunately, this is not as easy as it seems because Rembrary’s most important responsibility as High Priest is healing others. Given his position, it’s unknown whether High Priest Rembrary will return to the other world in order to protect his people.
Rembrary and Kim Dal’s romance
With Rembrary being a High Priest from the other world and Kim Dal being a human from this world, viewers are curious to see what will happen to their romance that has already transcended both time and space. While some fans expect that Rembrary will stay to be with Kim Dal, others predict that Kim Dal will follow Rembrary to the other world, raising more and more questions for the couple’s story.
Wild Animal’s future promotions
After promoting together for five years without much success, Wild Animal members Choi Jung Seo (Hong Seung Bum), Hwang Tae In (Shin Myung Sung), Cash (Choi Jae Hyun), Cha Hae Gyeol (Shin Kyu Hyun), and Woo Yeon Woo showcased a new type of teamwork and growth once Woo Yeon Woo started getting tangled in a series of newsworthy stories. Although viewers are rooting for Wild Animal’s success, the question of whether they’ll be able to win the Artist of the Year award still remains. Curiosity is also rising to see whether Woo Yeon Woo will remain in the present world so that Wild Animal can succeed as a full five-member group. Additionally, stay tuned for the funny and unexpected secret of the real Woo Yeon Woo that will be revealed in the upcoming episodes!
The secrets of the King of Darkness and Redlin
Although Redlin was introduced as a righteous god who protects citizens from the King of Darkness, it was recently revealed that Redlin had been putting the High Priest’s life on the line for the past 1000 years to do business with the King of Darkness. On top of that, the secret religious group serving Redlin in the present world showcased suspicious behavior, such as colluding with the King of Darkness to gain “powers of god.” Despite this, Rembrary had shown Redlin his unwavering faith, meaning that the shocking truth about Redlin and the King of Darkness will cause a big stir in Rembrary’s life. In this twisted reveal between Rembrary and Redlin, there’s also lots of interest to see how the King of Darkness will play a role.
The final episodes of “The Heavenly Idol” will air on March 22 and 23 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
