Yoo Yeon Seok's Agency Proceeds With Firm Legal Action Against Anonymous Individual Who Spread False Rumor

Yoo Yeon Seok’s agency has once again confirmed their intention to take firm legal action against the anonymous poster who spread a false rumor.
The individual who wrote the original post claiming that actor Yoo Yeon Seok insulted their father, who was working as a security guard at the actor’s apartment years ago, edited his post, writing, “I didn’t write the apology letter that came up under the same user ID [as mine].” The individual corrected his statement by writing, “My father probably did not quit the security guard job because of Yoo Yeon Seok.”
On March 23, a representative of King Kong by Starship shared, “We have already hired an attorney. We plan to file a power of attorney today and proceed with the complaint.” The agency briefly told Dispatch that Yoo Yeon Seok used to greet the security guard during holidays with gifts and that he still even recalls the face of the security guard.

Yoo Yeon Seok’s agency has announced legal action against false rumors.
Earlier on March 21, an anonymous individual posted on an online community claiming that their father worked as a security guard at Yoo Yeon Seok’s apartment about six or seven years ago and that his father heard insulting comments from Yoo Yeon Seok and his friends, causing him to quit his job due to the shame and contempt he felt at that time.
On March 22, Yoo Yeon Seok’s agency King Kong by Starship released the following statement:
Hello. This is King Kong by Starship.
This is our official stance regarding an online community post related to actor Yoo Yeon Seok.
After checking the facts with the actor, we confirmed that the content [of the post] is completely groundless. We plan to file a complaint against the poster for defamation through stating false information. We have already hired a lawyer and are preparing for strong legal action.
We ask you to refrain from distributing any groundless rumors or speculative posts in this regard.

Following the agency’s statement, the individual who wrote the original post released an apology stating that they wrote the post out of jealousy as Yoo Yeon Seok seems to have become more popular recently. They explained that they did not expect the situation to get this serious and that they are sorry to actor Yoo Yeon Seok. The individual added, “I have never met him, but I think he must be an actor with a good personality full of consideration.”
In response to the individual’s new post, the agency firmly stated that they plan to file a complaint against the individual without leniency as previously informed.
