“Joseon Attorney” (literal translation) has shared a character chart to give a detailed look at all the relationships surrounding Woo Do Hwan, WJSN’s Bona, and VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon!
MBC’s “Joseon Attorney” will star Woo Do Hwan as oejibu (an attorney in the Joseon dynasty) Kang Han Soo who seeks to avenge the death of his parents through a trial. In his journey towards righteous revenge, Kang Han Soo grows as a human being and becomes a true attorney who protects and stands for the people.
At the center of the story are Kang Han Soo and Princess Lee Yeon Joo (Bona). While Kang Han Soo does anything he can to get revenge and settle lawsuits, Lee Yeon Joo aims to win in a just and fair manner. As the two opposites somehow team up to protect their country and citizens, they get tangled in a variety of unconventional situations.
Also at the core of the drama is Yoo Ji Seon (Cha Hak Yeon), who is the Joseon era equivalent of the city’s mayor and the fiancé of Lee Yeon Joo. Although Yoo Ji Seon wants to stay away from Kang Han Soo, he gets caught in between him and Lee Yeon Joo while trying to achieve his own goals. With Kang Han Soo and Lee Yeon Joo eventually growing affectionate of one another, stay tuned to discover how this trio’s relationship develops!
Among Kang Han Soo’s people are his longtime friend Dong Chi (Lee Gyu Sung) and courtesans Jung Hyang (Yoo Ye Bin) and Oh Wol (Joo Ah). His family members include his father Kang Eon Jik (Kim Jong Tae), his mother Mrs. Lee (Min Ji Ah), and his younger sister Kang Eun Soo (Han So Eun).
Lee Yeon Joo is linked to people of the royal palace, including King Lee Hyul (Song Geon Hee), his grandmother Queen Dowager (Kim Ae Ran), and eunuch Go (Han Sang Jo). However, those actually closest to her are Ms. Hong (Shin Dong Mi), Choi Yoon (Lee Shi Hoo), Baek Sook Soo (Kim Do Yeon), and her father (Han Min), who is the former King.
Yoo Ji Seon is closest to his bodyguard Kim Ji Ho (Kang Hyun Oh) and is tied to his father Yoo Je Se (Chun Ho Jin), a man who holds great power within the court and is the target of Kang Han Soo’s revenge.
Other members of the royal court who work alongside Yoo Je Se include Im Sang Ho (Choi Byung Mo), Chu Young Woo (Choi Moo Sung), Won Dae Han (Lee Jae Woon), and Choi Soo Yong (Nam Kyung Eup).
