BTS's Jimin Earns His Highest Debuts On Billboard's Hot 100 And Global Charts With "Set Me Free Pt. 2"
BTS’s Jimin has recorded his highest-ever solo rankings on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Global charts!
On March 27 local time, Billboard announced the debuts on the latest Hot 100 chart, as well as the top 10 rankings of the latest Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts dated April 1, 2023.
On this week’s Hot 100, Billboard’s famous weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States, Jimin’s pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt. 2” debuted at No. 30!
After Jimin made his debut on the chart in January alongside BIGBANG’s Taeyang with their collaboration track “VIBE” coming in at No. 76, “Set Me Free Pt. 2” now marks Jimin’s second solo entry on the Hot 100. Notably, Jimin is also now the first BTS member to rank within the top 40 of the Hot 100 with an unaccompanied solo song.
Jimin's "Set Me Free, Pt. 2" debuts at No. 30 on this week's #Hot100.
It's his second career solo entry on the chart, after "Vibe," with @Realtaeyang, in January (No. 76 peak).
He's now the first member of @BTS_twt to score an unaccompanied solo top 40 hit.

Billboard’s global charts began in September 2020 and “rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world.” While the Global 200 includes data from around the world, the Global Excl. U.S. chart considers data from territories excluding the United States.
Making its debut at No. 8 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart was Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt. 2.” Following its release on March 17, the song garnered over 56 million streams and 42,000 units sold worldwide in its first week.
Although “Set Me Free Pt. 2” is Jimin’s first solo track to debut in the top 10 of the Global 200, it’s his third top 20 entry following “VIBE” with BIGBANG’s Taeyang (No. 12) and “With You” with Ha Sung Woon (No. 19).
Jimin is also now the fourth BTS member to snag a solo top 10 entry on the Global 200. The group’s other solo entries include Jungkook’s “Dreamers” (No. 9) and “Left and Right” with Charlie Puth (No. 5), Jin’s “The Astronaut” (No. 10), and Suga’s “That That” with PSY (No. 5).
On Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt. 2” impressively made its debut at No. 5 with 49.7 million streams and 27,000 units sold during its first week of release.
As on the Global 200 chart, Jimin’s previous entries on the Global Excl. U.S. chart include “VIBE” (No. 9) and “With You” (No. 14), but “Set Me Free Pt. 2” marks his highest solo ranking. Following Jungkook, Jimin is the second BTS member to chart multiple solo songs in the top 10 of the Global Excl. U.S. chart, while Jin and Suga also have one entry each.
Immediately after its release on March 24, Jimin’s debut solo album “FACE” topped iTunes charts in 111 different regions and made Jimin the first solo artist in Hanteo history to surpass 1 million first-day sales of an album. On March 27, Jimin became the first-ever Korean soloist to reach No. 1 on Spotify’s daily Global Top Songs chart with “Like Crazy” climbing to the top spot.
Congratulations to Jimin!
