“Boys Planet” Announces Kim Jae Hwan As 8th Star Master

“Boys Planet” has announced Kim Jae Hwan as the next Star Master!

Mnet’s “Boys Planet” is the new male version of the 2021 audition show that gave rise to Kep1er. Normally, a program would have one MC who would lead the contestants from start to finish. However, “Boys Planet” takes on a new system with “Star Masters,” who change with each mission. Each Star Master will be a senior artist who will act as a role model for the trainees and share different kinds of advice with them.

On April 13, “Boys Planet” announced that the program’s eighth Star Master is Kim Jae Hwan, who joins previous Star Masters Hwang Minhyun, Sunmi, Yeo Jin Goo, BTOB‘s Minhyuk, SHINee’s Key, 2AM’s Jo Kwon, and Jeon Somi.

As for the finale, “Boys Planet” previously announced that fellow former Wanna One member and first Star Master Hwang Minhyun will be returning to host the live finale.

In the upcoming episode, Kim Jae Hwan will make a surprise visit to the “Boys Planet” set and announce the final mission to the trainees. As a Star Master, Kim Jae Hwan will also give the trainees warm advice as someone who had a similar experience being on the final stage of another Mnet audition program “Produce 101 Season 2” in 2017.

The live finale will take place on April 20 at 8:50 p.m. KST at Jamsil Arena in Seoul. The next episode of “Boys Planet” will air on April 13 at 8:50 p.m. KST and reveal the top 18 trainees who will be advancing to the final stage.
