Jeon Jong Seo Confirmed To Star As A Queen In New Historical Drama

Jeon Jong Seo will be starring in a new historical drama that she was in talks for!

On April 18, TVING’s new historical drama “Queen Woo” (literal title) announced that Jeon Jong Seo is confirmed to star in the drama.

“Queen Woo” is a historical action drama telling the story of the first woman to become queen twice in Korean history. It will be directed by Jung Se Gyo of “Oh! My Gran” and written by Lee Byung Hak of the film “The Royal Tailor.”

Jeon Jong Seo will take on the role of Woo Hee, a queen of Goguryeo who marries one of her husband’s younger siblings after the king dies in order to protect her family and tribe. She has outstanding abilities to analyze problems and come up with strategies, and she is an active player who steps out of her palace to find a new king herself and fight against the opposing forces who are aiming for the throne.
