Super Junior’s Donghae And Song Ha Yoon's Upcoming Rom-Com Confirms Premiere Date

More details have been shared about the upcoming drama “Oh! Youngsim.”

“Oh! Youngsim” is a romantic comedy drama remake of the old-time Korean animation “Youngsim” that tells the story of a reunion between childhood best friends Oh Young Sim and Wang Kyung Tae, who taste the sweetness and bitterness of life as they enter their 30s.

At the drama’s first script reading, cast members Song Ha Yoon, Super Junior’s Donghae, Lee Min Jae, and Jung Woo Yeon impressed as they perfectly transformed into their characters.

Song Ha Yoon radiated bright energy on the set as the tenacious and optimistic Oh Young Sim, a producing director (PD) in her 30s. Donghae charismatically transformed into Wang Kyung Tae (Mark Wang), the CEO of the popular startup company Kingvely. Wang Kyung Tae, the crybaby who followed Oh Young Sim despite all kinds of teasing from her now has grown up to be a cold-looking perfectionist.

Lee Min Jae will portray Lee Chae Dong, Young Sim’s junior who has a secret crush on her. Jung Woo Yeon will star as Young Sim’s childhood friend and beauty YouTuber Goo Wol Sook.

The production team commented, “It will be a drama that makes you laugh and feel the emotion that you once felt while watching the animation in the past. All of us spent our childhood together with Young Sim and Kyung Tae. We hope this drama will offer empathy and comfort and give you time to look back on your past and present days through watching the grown-up main characters who now live fiercely as a member of society.”

Genie TV’s original drama “Oh! Youngsim” will premiere on May 15 at 10 p.m. KST!
