Kim So Hye Is A Genius Boxer Who Suddenly Disappears In New Sports Drama With Lee Sang Yeob

KBS2’s upcoming drama “Pure Boxer” (literal title) has dropped a new poster!

“Pure Boxer” is a sports drama based on the novel “Pure Boxer Lee Kwon Sook” written by Choo Jong Nam, the winner of the second Kyobo Bookstore Story Contest. It is a story about genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So Hye) and a cold-blooded agent who doesn’t feel guilty of match-fixing for money and the success of his athletes.

The newly released poster depicts an empty boxing ring where there are only boxing gloves and a sprinkle donut with a bite mark that seem to have been left by someone in a rush.

On top of this mysterious atmosphere, the text that reads, “Where did the genius boxer disappear to?” makes viewers curious to find out about the story behind the missing genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook and whether she can safely return to the boxing ring.

Kim So Hye will play Lee Kwon Sook, a genius boxer who emerged as a boxing star at the age of 17. Lee Kwon Sook, who disappeared right before achieving the Grand Slam, was living a new life, but when she meets the evil agent Kim Tae Young, she faces a new turning point.

Lee Sang Yeob will take on the role of Kim Tae Young, an S&P Sports agent who coaxes talented athletes and retires them in a short period of time after taking the lion’s share. Kim Tae Young approaches Lee Kwon Sook, who disappeared three years ago for top pitcher Kim Hee Won.

“Pure Boxer” is gearing up to premiere in the second half of 2023. Stay tuned!
