Watch: IVE Takes 5th Win For “I AM” On "Music Core"; Performances By DRIPPIN, TEMPEST, And More

IVE has won their fifth music show trophy for “I AM“!

On the April 22 episode of MBC’s “Music Core,” the candidates for first place were IVE’s “I AM,” BTS’s Jimin’s “Like Crazy,” and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s “FLOWER.” IVE ultimately took the win with a total of 9,668 points.

Following news of ASTRO’s Moonbin’s passing on April 19, this week’s broadcast was held in a calmer atmosphere as the program conveyed its deepest condolences.

As a result, after the winner announcement, IVE did not hold an encore stage and gave a simple acceptance speech. Gaeul briefly stated, “I’d like to thank DIVE for always supporting us with all your hearts. Thank you for sending your love for this promotion as well.”

An Yu Jin added, “We will do our best for the rest of our promotions as well, so please kindly give us lots of support and love.”

At the end of the broadcast, “Music Core” MCs NMIXX’s Sullyoon, NCT’s Jungwoo, and Stray Kids’ Lee Know shared condolences on behalf of the program. Jungwoo remarked, “A few days ago, there was truly unfortunate news in the music industry.” Lee Know added, “We would like to express our deepest condolences once again and wish that Moonbin, who has presented us with great stages and comforted us through his music for a long time, will rest in peace.”

Finally, Sullyoon remarked, “We will sincerely pray so he may rest in peace,” before the show had a moment of silence for Moonbin.
