"Dr. Romantic 3" Premieres To Highest Ratings Of Any Season Thus Far
SBS’s “Dr. Romantic 3” is off to a promising start!
On April 28, the popular medical drama “Dr. Romantic” kicked off its highly-anticipated third season. The series follows the stories of realistic doctors working at a rundown hospital in the countryside, and many of its stars returned to reprise their roles in Season 3, including Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Min Jae, So Ju Yeon, and more.
According to Nielsen Korea, “Dr. Romantic 3” premiered to higher viewership ratings than both Season 1 and Season 2. The first episode of “Dr. Romantic 3” scored an average nationwide rating of 12.7 percent, making it the most-watched program of the entire day.
Additionally, “Dr. Romantic 3” achieved the second-highest premiere ratings of any Friday-Saturday drama in SBS history, bested only by the 2021 ratings juggernaut “The Penthouse 2.”
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Joseon Attorney,” which airs in the same time slot, dipped to a nationwide average of 2.9 percent due to the stiff new competition from “Dr. Romantic 3.”
