BTS's Jimin, TWICE, TXT, IVE, Stray Kids, NCT 127, BLACKPINK, And NewJeans Sweep Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart
Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on April 29!
BTS’s Jimin’s solo debut album “FACE” continued to rule the chart, remaining No. 1 for the fourth consecutive week. The album’s title track “Like Crazy” also charted for a fourth week on the Hot 100, making it the first K-pop solo song in a decade to spend four weeks on the chart.
TWICE’s latest mini album “READY TO BE” stayed strong at No. 3 in its sixth consecutive week on the World Albums chart. The mini album also remained on the Billboard 200 for a sixth week, making TWICE the first female K-pop act in history to chart three albums for six weeks.
TXT’s “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” took No. 4 in its 12th consecutive week on the World Albums chart, in addition to spending its 12th week on the Billboard 200—where TXT tied BLACKPINK’s record for the second most cumulative weeks on the chart of any K-pop artist.
BTS’s anthology album “Proof” climbed back up to No. 5 in its 45th consecutive week on the World Albums chart, while the group’s 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7” rose to No. 12 in its 135th non-consecutive week.
IVE’s first studio album “I’ve IVE” held onto its spot at No. 7 in its second consecutive week on the World Albums chart, followed by Stray Kids’ “MAXIDENT” at No. 9 (in its 25th non-consecutive week) and NCT 127’s “Ay-Yo” at No. 11 (in its seventh consecutive week).
Finally, BLACKPINK’s 2020 album “THE ALBUM” re-entered the chart at No. 14 (marking its 105th non-consecutive week), while NewJeans’ debut EP “New Jeans” re-entered the chart at No. 15 (for its 27th non-consecutive week).
