SM Changes Venue Of SHINee's 15th Anniversary Fan Meeting After Fans' Boycott + To Livestream Online

In response to fan protests, SM Entertainment has announced a new venue and additional date for SHINee’s upcoming 15th anniversary fan meeting!

Earlier this week, SM Entertainment apologized to SHINee’s fans after a flood of complaints about their choice of venue for the group’s “Everyday is SHINee DAY: Piece of SHINE” fan meeting, which was originally scheduled to take place at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Ilsan on May 27. After some fans expressed concerns about the obstructed view from certain seats in the KINTEX exhibition hall, SM Entertainment promised to take measures to ensure that all fans in the audience would be able to see SHINee.

However, as fans continued to voice complaints—with some even taking part in a boycott—SM Entertainment ultimately announced that it would move the fan meeting to a different venue.

On May 4, SM Entertainment announced that SHINee’s upcoming fan meeting would now be held at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul, which has a far larger capacity than KINTEX. The fan meeting will also be taking place over two nights instead of one, with SHINee taking the stage to greet their fans on both May 27 and May 28.

Additionally, for fans who are unable to attend in person, the second night of SHINee’s fan meeting will be streamed online through Beyond LIVE.

“Everyday is SHINee DAY: Piece of SHINE” will take place on May 27 at 6 p.m. KST and May 28 at 4 p.m. KST.
