TXT Becomes 2nd K-Pop Artist In Billboard 200 History To Chart 3 Albums For 13 Weeks
TXT has just achieved more than one impressive feat on the Billboard 200!
Earlier this year, TXT’s “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200—and over three months later, the mini album is still going strong on the chart.
For the week ending on May 6, “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION”—which currently still holds the title of the best-selling album in the United States in 2023 across all genres (in terms of pure sales)—ranked No. 166 on the Billboard 200, marking its 13th consecutive week on the chart.
TXT has now overtaken BLACKPINK to become the K-pop artist with the second most cumulative weeks on the Billboard 200, having spent a total of 45 weeks on the chart across all of their albums.
Additionally, TXT has become only the second K-pop artist in history to chart three different albums for 13 weeks each on the Billboard 200, following BTS. (Before “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION,” both “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” and “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child“ spent at least 13 weeks on the chart.)
Outside of the Billboard 200, “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” also stayed strong at No. 5 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 20 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 25 on the Top Album Sales chart this week.
Congratulations to TXT!
