AOA's Seolhyun Wins Best Actress For "Summer Strike" At LA Web Series Festival

AOA’s Seolhyun was honored with the Best Actress award at the 2023 LA WEBFEST!

“Summer Strike” was nominated in four major categories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress at the 2023 LA WEBFEST held in the United States on May 4 and 5 (local time).

Among the 150 dramas that were submitted this year, Seolhyun won Best Actress by showcasing her mature acting skills through the role of Lee Yeo Reum in “Summer Strike.”

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Summer Strike” is a romance drama about people who leave behind their busy lives in the city in order to move to a small town and do nothing. Im Siwan stars as Ahn Dae Bum, a shy math genius who is now living a quiet life as a village librarian, while Seolhyun plays Lee Yeo Reum, a burned-out young professional who quits her job and ventures to an unfamiliar village in order to find herself.

The representative of the film festival remarked, “Seolhyun’s acting as the female lead in a calm atmosphere [within the drama] was quite natural and charming.”

Seolhyun conveyed her gratitude, sharing, “I was really happy while living as Lee Yeo Reum, but I am even happier and grateful to have received this award. I think I was able to receive this award thanks to the support and love from the co-stars, staff, and viewers. I would like to say thank you to everyone through this letter. I will study and act more diligently to show you steady improvement.”
