Kang Hoon Bids Farewell To A Tearful Jo Hye Joo In "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse"
“The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” shared new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!
Based on the hit web novel of the same name, SBS’s “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” is a mystery romance drama about an unconventional boarding house and three students who stay there as lodgers. Shin Ye Eun stars as Yoon Dan Oh, the owner of boarding house Yihwawon, while Ryeoun, Kang Hoon, and Jung Gun Joo play three “flower scholars” who rent rooms—and are each hiding their own secrets.

Previously, viewers were shocked to discover the playful and lighthearted Kim Si Yeol (Kang Hoon) is actually a guard who is looking over the deposed crown prince Lee Seol.
The newly released stills depict Kim Si Yeol saying farewell to Yoon Hong Joo (Jo Hye Joo). Kim Si Yeol maintains a straight face as he tells Yoon Hong Joo not to forgive him. He says, “Do not forgive me. Blame me, and hate me,” as Yoon Hong Joo begins to tear up. Viewers are curious to find out what will happen to the future of their romance.
During the filming for the scene, Kang Hoon portrayed Kim Si Yeol’s frustrations at his fate, while Jo Hye Joo expressed her character Yoon Hong Joo’s pain at an unexpected farewell.
The production team shared, “In the upcoming May 8 broadcast of episode 15, viewers will be surprised again to see that Kang Hoon and Jo Hye Joo have become masters of emotional [portrayal] who express heartbreaking emotions,” asking viewers to watch over the romance story of the on-screen couple.
The next episode of “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” will air on May 8 at 10 p.m. KST.
