In Gyo Jin Surprises Shin Ye Eun With His Honest Advice In "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse"

“The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” has dropped a look at Shin Ye Eun and In Gyo Jin’s honest conversation!

Based on the hit web novel of the same name, SBS’s “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” is a mystery romance drama about an unconventional boarding house and three students who stay there as lodgers. Shin Ye Eun stars as Yoon Dan Oh, the owner of boarding house Yihwawon, while Ryeoun, Kang Hoon, and Jung Gun Joo play three “flower scholars” who rent rooms—and are each hiding their own secrets.

In Episode 14, Yook Yook Ho (In Gyo Jin) looked out for Yoon Dan Oh and her sister Yoon Hong Joo (Jo Hye Joo) as if he was their father. To Kim Si Yeol (Kang Hoon), who has developed a romance with Yoon Hong Joo, Yook Yook Ho explained that he would only acknowledge their relationship if he passed his exam. Once Joseon’s king Lee Chang (Hyun Woo) and Kang San (Ryeoun) entered Yihwawon, he grew worried about Yoon Dan Oh having to look after the king.

His influence as a father figure in Yoon Dan Oh’s life does not stop there, as the drama’s latest stills show Yook Yook Ho giving her a firm warning. As the two share a serious conversation, Yook Yook Ho tells Yoon Dan Oh that it’s time to think of what happens after Kang San ascends to the throne. Yoon Dan Oh appears surprised at the unexpected comment, while Yook Yook Ho continues, “If you’re to remain as Yihwawon’s owner, the two of you will have to break up.”

After conveying the harsh truth, Yook Yook Ho tries to cheer on Yoon Dan Oh with a bright smile. However, Yoon Dan Oh is now lost in thought over Kang San and Yihwawon. How will Yoon Dan Oh move forward with so much to consider?

The drama’s producers shared, “Shin Ye Eun and In Gyo Jin are actors with perfect sense who flexibly cross between comedy and being serious. Please watch with interest to see whether the ‘Kang Dan couple’ will continue to face an eventful fate, or whether there will be another turning point in Yoon Dan Oh and Kang San’s relationship.”
