"Peak Time" Runner-Up MASC Changes Their Group Name To SEVENUS
Several days after joining a new agency, MASC has announced an official name change to SEVENUS!
On May 9, PCS Entertainment shared, “Heejae and Ireah will start a new chapter of their career as a duo and have changed their team name to SEVENUS. Under the name SEVENUS, they will be more active in music promotions and activities in the future.”
Heejae and Ireah first announced their name change at the “Peak Time” Top 6 concert “YOUR TIME” held over the weekend. SEVENUS is the combination of the number “7” and the word “us.” 7 has become a number that holds a special meaning to the duo as they had previously competed on “Peak Time” as Team 7:00 before ultimately coming in second place. “Us” is added to represent their desire and promise to be with fans in the future. It is also the name that Heejae and Ireah decided on based on fans’ votes.
Earlier on May 3, Heejae and Ireah signed exclusive contracts with PCS Entertainment, a company that is currently home to DIGNITY, who competed alongside MASC on “Peak Time”—and whose leader Luo is a former member of MASC. (During his time in the group, Luo went by the name Moonbong.)
All the best to SEVENUS on their new start!
