Lee Chae Yeon And LABOUM’s Haein Step Down From “Queendom Puzzle"
“Queendom” spin-off series “Queendom Puzzle” has announced former IZ*ONE member Lee Chae Yeon’s and LABOUM‘s Haein’s departures from the show.
Previously, Mnet had confirmed that Lee Chae Yeon and LABOUM’s Haein, along with former CLC member Jang Yeeun, former MOMOLAND member JooE, Lovelyz’s Kei, former “Produce 48” contestant Shiroma Miru, H1-KEY’s Riina and Hwiseo, and a few Weeekly members were part of the contestants’ lineup for the upcoming program.
On May 18, Hankyung.com reported that Lee Chae Yeon and Haein have decided to step down from “Queendom Puzzle” after completing the first filming. The report further stated that no additional casting will be held and that their existing footage will still be broadcast.
In response to the report, a representative from Mnet officially confirmed, “Lee Chae Yeon and Haein have stepped down from the upcoming variety program ‘Queendom Puzzle’ for personal reasons,” and added, “Regarding additional members, nothing has been decided yet.”
“Queendom Puzzle” is a spin-off variety show that will form a powerful global project girl group by taking members from currently promoting girl groups as well as female artists and putting them together like a puzzle. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon will be returning to the show as the MC.
The full lineup of “Queendom Puzzle” will be released sequentially through special performance videos, which will be shown on the May 18 and 25 broadcasts of “M Countdown.”
“Queendom Puzzle” will premiere on June 13 at 10 p.m. KST. Watch a teaser here!
