Kang Tae Joo Is The Target Of Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, And Go Ara In "The Childe" Posters
Upcoming film “The Childe” has unveiled character posters for Kang Tae Joo, Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, and Go Ara!
Directed by Park Hoon Jung of the “New World” and “The Witch” series, “The Childe” (originally titled “Sad Tropics”) follows the chaotic chase that ensues when the mysterious “Childe,” alongside several other forces, embark on separate missions that all aim to pursue Marco, a boxer who travels from one illegal arena to another in the Philippines.
The released character posters depict Marco (Kang Tae Joo), a boxer who suddenly becomes everyone’s target, and the three people whose lives intertwine with his through various storylines.
The first poster captures Marco with a bruised and swollen face. The questions, “Who are you? Why are you doing this?” reveals his desperate situation of being targeted by different forces without knowing why, arousing viewers’ curiosity about how his struggle to survive will unfold.
Next, Childe (Kim Seon Ho), a man who corners Marco and makes a mess in his life is captured with a relaxed smile. The poster reads “I’ve never missed a target before,” seemingly hinting at the ruthlessness he will show.
The next poster depicts Director Han (Kim Kang Woo), a second generation chaebol who relentlessly pursues Marco. The text reads, “Run in a zigzag. That lowers the chance of getting shot,” raising anticipation for the performance of Director Han, whose unpredictable personality will add to the tension of the drama.
Yoon Joo (Go Ara), who accidentally reunites with Marco in South Korea following the Philippines, has an inscrutable look on her face. The poster reads, “I’m just doing my job, why?” which raises questions about the true identity of Yoon Joo.
“The Childe” will hit theatres on June 21.
