2PM's Lee Junho And Girls' Generation's YoonA Prove Opposites Attract In New Drama "King The Land"
JTBC’s upcoming drama “King the Land” has shared a sneak peek of the chemistry between its gorgeous leads!
“King the Land” will tell the story of the unlikely romance between Gu Won (2PM’s Lee Junho), a chaebol heir who can’t stand fake smiles, and the constantly smiling Cheon Sa Rang (Girls’ Generation’s YoonA), who becomes known as the “queen of smiles” while working her way up at the King Hotel.
From their vastly different backgrounds to their polar-opposite personalities, Gu Won and Cheon Sa Rang seem to have nothing in common—and at first, they can’t stand one another. While Gu Won is fervently opposed to the concept of fake smiles, the nature of Cheon Sa Rang’s job forces her to smile even when she doesn’t wish to, making it impossible for the two characters to see eye to eye.
However, as they spend more and more time together, this initially bickering duo starts to see each other in a different light. The new photos show the couple’s dynamic gradually evolving from a strained work relationship to something more as they open up to one another.
Lee Junho commented, “I think Cheon Sa Rang’s love is what becomes the salvation in Gu Won’s life.”
Meanwhile, YoonA remarked, “Gu Won is someone who loves Cheon Sa Rang exactly as she is. Strangely, while Cheon Sa Rang isn’t someone who often shows her inner feelings to other people, she keeps showing her honest self to Gu Won. He’s someone who makes it possible for her to find a truly happy smile that isn’t a business smile.”
“King the Land” will premiere on June 17 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out the latest teaser for the drama here!
