YoonA Always Dazzles With Her Smile Despite Lee Junho's Scorn In "King The Land" Posters
JTBC’s upcoming drama “King the Land” has dropped new posters of YoonA and Lee Junho!
“King the Land” will tell the story of the unlikely romance between Gu Won (2PM’s Lee Junho), a chaebol heir who can’t stand fake smiles, and the constantly smiling Cheon Sa Rang (Girls’ Generation’s YoonA), who becomes known as the “queen of smiles” while working her way up at the King Hotel.
As “a man who hates smiles,” not a hint of a smile can be found on Gu Won’s face. Gu Won finds smiles to be awkward, and above all, he despises fake smiles, making viewers question what stemmed his hatred for smiles.
On the other hand, Cheon Sa Rang always has to wear a smile due to the nature of her job as a hotelier. In the newly released poster, Cheon Sa Rang wears her trademark smile, which matches the smiley face badge above her name tag. The way she points her fingers to the ends of her smile also depicts how she is “a woman who has to smile.”
The two characters are different not only on their perspectives of smiles but also their backgrounds and personalities, causing them to clash every time they run into each other. Nevertheless, Cheon Sa Rang always responds with a smile to Gu Won’s sharp gaze, eventually allowing the two to open up and grow close to one another.
JTBC’s “King the Land” will premiere on June 17 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser for the drama here!
