WJSN’s Bona, IVE’s Jang Won Young’s sister Jang Da Ah, “Single’s Inferno 2” Shin Seul Gi, and more will be starring in the upcoming thriller drama “Pyramid Game” (literal title)!
On May 31, the upcoming TVING original series “Pyramid Game” has confirmed its casting lineup.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Pyramid Game” is a thriller drama set in Baekyeon Girls’ High School. Every month, each student gets graded through a popularity vote and if they receive an F grade, they are officially appointed as the target of school violence.
WJSN’s Bona will play the lead character Sung Su Ji, a student in their second year who becomes the target of the pyramid game as soon as she transfers to the school. To break the twisted cycle of the pyramid system, Sung Su Ji pushes herself to become the leader of a rebellion.
“Pyramid Game” will shed light on the fierce struggle of 18 girls who will fight against school violence that has become a common thing in their school. Additionally, several talented rookie actresses are taking on the roles of victims, perpetrators, and bystanders of the sadistic game to create a solid lineup of the drama: IVE’s Jang Won Young’s older sister Jang Da Ah, Ryu Da In and Kang Na Eon who have left strong impressions through “Crash Course in Romance,” rising star Jung Ha Dam, “Single’s Inferno 2” Shin Seul Gi, and “The Red Sleeve” star Ha Yul Ri.
The production team remarked, “We came up with this drama to draw awareness of the current reality and to provoke people to question the reason for school violence to become such a common thing in society and why it only gets much worse by the day. Please look forward to the girls’ blooming friendship, sense of justice, and the silver lining of hope you’ll find in the drama.”
