Watch: Won Ji An Ruins Vampire Taecyeon's 100-Year Plan To Become Human In New "Heartbeat" Teaser

“Heartbeat” (also known as “My Heart Is Beating”) has dropped another teaser!

KBS 2TV’s upcoming fantasy romance drama “Heartbeat” stars 2PM’s Taecyeon as Seon Woo Hyul, who is half-human and half-vampire. Although he desperately wants to become human, he misses his chance because of one fateful day out of 100 years. He eventually winds up moving in together with Joo In Hae (Won Ji An), a cold-blooded woman who lacks humanity despite being fully human.

The drama’s latest teaser starts with an eerie vibe as Joo In Hae cautiously explores the basement of the building she inherited from her father. She comes across a mysterious coffin where she shockingly finds vampire Seon Woo Hyul fast asleep. He angrily awakes from his rest and cries out, “What did you wake me for?!” Seon Woo Hyul expresses his rage by exposing his sharp teeth to Joo In Hae but the clip takes an unexpected turn when she bites his neck first.

Joo In Hae later learns that Seon Woo Hyul had been sleeping in the coffin for the past 100 years in order to become human and that she had ruined his plans by waking him one day too early. Despite all his rage, Joo In Hae shows no interest in his problems as she aggressively tells him to go away.

Seon Woo Hyul eventually meets with fellow vampires Lee Sang Hae (Yoon Byung Hee) and Park Dong Seob (Go Kyu Pil) who tell him, “While you’ve been in the coffin, the world has changed a ton,” making sure he knows he can no longer bite humans.

As they begin adjusting to their new lives, Seon Woo Hyul and Lee Sang Hae get jobs as custodians at the school where Joo In Hae works as a nurse, much to her dismay.

Their bond proves to be deeper than expected when Go Yang Nam (Kim In Kwon) reveals to Seon Woo Hyul, “If something happens to that woman, everything will have been in vain. You have to keep her by your side and protect her.” When Joo In Hae finds herself in a dangerous situation, Seon Woo Hyul appears to save the day and gets the chance to show off his unique abilities as a vampire. Relieved and intrigued, Joo In Hae carefully asks, “A real vampire?” Seon Woo Hyul casually responds, “Do you believe me now?”

The teaser also introduces Shin Do Shik (Park Kang Hyun), a young and rich real estate developer, and Na Hae Won (Yoon So Hee), a real estate investor from a wealthy family, as two intriguing obstacles in Seon Woo Hyul and Joo In Hae’s relationship.

Shin Do Shik fell in love with Joo In Hae at first sight during their college days, but missed the chance to confess his feelings. When they coincidentally run into each other years later, Shin Do Shik develops the courage to tell Joo In Hae, “I hope to see you smile more often. I want to do that for you.” Na Hae Won will enchant Seon Woo Hyul with her uncanny resemblance to Hae Sun, his first love from the Joseon Dynasty era. Amid all these distractions, Joo In Hae asks, “Seon Woo Hyul, do you like me?”
