Kim Tae Ri And Oh Jung Se Are Meant To Meet Each Other In Upcoming Occult Drama "Revenant"

SBS’s upcoming drama “Revenant” has shared a sneak peek at Kim Tae Ri and Oh Jung Se’s encounter!

Written by famous scriptwriter Kim Eun Hee of “Sign,” “Ghost,” “Signal,” and “Kingdom,” “Revenant” is an occult mystery thriller in which a woman (Kim Tae Ri) possessed by an evil spirit and a man who can see those evil spirits inside human bodies dig into the mysterious deaths surrounding five divine objects.

Kim Tae Ri stars as Goo San Young, a young woman in her twenties who works part-time during the day and studies for her civil service exam at night. She gets possessed by an evil spirit after receiving a keepsake belonging to her late father Goo Kang Mo (Jin Seon Kyu) that she should have never received.

Oh Jung Se transforms into folklore professor Yeom Hae Sang, who has been able to see ghosts and gods since he was younger. Due to this unique ability, Yeom Hae Sang has found it difficult to get along with others and instead prioritizes his folklore research.

The released stills preview the meeting between Goo San Young and Yeom Hae Sang, who get to know each other through Professor Goo Kang Mo, San Young’s father and a scholar who studied folklore like Hae Sang.

At first glance, Hae Sang recognizes that San Young is possessed by an evil spirit, but San Young does not believe Hae Sang’s words as she is caught up with her tough daily life. Curiosity is raised as to why Kang Mo left his daughter San Young an object possessed by a demon, how San Young and Hae Sang will chase the demon together, and what the true nature of the demon that they are chasing is.

The production team remarked, “The interrelationship between San Young, who is possessed by an evil spirit, Hae Sang, who chases after the evil spirit, Professor Goo Kang Moo, and the evil spirit is one of the intriguing points to keep an eye on that will double the joy of [watching] the drama ‘Revenant.'” They added, “Paying attention to how their relationship will change and what kind of relationship there is between Professor Goo Kang Mo and the demon will allow [viewers] to enjoy watching the drama ‘Revenant’ in a more entertaining way. Please look forward to it.”

“Revenant” is set to premiere on June 23 at 10 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
