Actress Jin Ye Sol Admits To Drunk Driving And Apologizes

On June 13, the Gangdong Police Station announced that they were investigating an actress in her 30s who was accused of driving under the influence. It was reported that the actress hit guard rails twice on June 12 at around 10:30 p.m. on Olympic Boulevard in the Songpa and Gangdong Districts in Seoul.

A witness reported the actress’s vehicle to the police for suspected drunk driving. Later, the police were dispatched and found the driver asleep while waiting for a signal with the gear in drive mode.

Later that day, it was reported that the driver is Jin Ye Sol. At the time of being caught by the police, Jin Ye Sol’s breathalyzer test result was at the level of license revocation.

In response to the report, Jin Ye Sol’s agency DI Entertainment released a statement admitting to the charges of drunk driving and apologized.

First of all, we would like to express our deep apology for causing concern with an unpleasant matter.

Jin Ye Sol returned home from drinking at a restaurant located in the neighborhood of Sinsa in Gangnam District in Seoul at 10:30 p.m. on June 12.

There is no excuse for the fact that she was drunk driving and for the behavior of Jin Ye Sol who drove the car, and Jin Ye Sol and our agency will self-reflect while feeling a deep sense of responsibility.

We apologize to everyone, and we apologize once again for causing concern.

DI Entertainment and Jin Ye Sol will promptly devise a way to respond so that there will be no harm to the many people who are involved.

The actress also took to her Instagram to apologize, writing, “I apologize to all the people who support me. I will reflect on myself with regret from now on.”

After debuting in 2009, Jin Ye Sol appeared in dramas including “Loving You a Thousand Times,” “Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors,” “New Tales of Gisaeng,” “Queen and I,” “Birth of the Beauty,” and “Today’s Webtoon.”
