Super Junior's Donghae And Lee Seol In Talks To Lead Upcoming Romance Drama
Super Junior’s Donghae and Lee Seol may be starring together in an upcoming romance drama!
On June 16, Xportsnews reported that Donghae and Lee Seol had been cast as the leads of Channel A’s new drama “Man and Woman” (working title).
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, “Man and Woman” follows the story of long-term couple Hyun Sung and Sung Ok who break up after nearly seven years because of a momentary mistake. The realistic and relatable romance drama aims to draw out the simultaneous emotions of boredom and affection that exist for long-term couples. The drama is written by Park Sang Min, who wrote the film “Love 911” and worked as a compositional writer on “Class of Lies.”
Following the report, the agencies of both stars confirmed that they were in talks to lead the drama. Donghae’s agency SM Entertainment shared, “While his appearance has not been confirmed, this is a project he’s reviewing.” Similarly, Lee Seol’s agency Just Entertainment explained that she was positively reviewing the offer.
Donghae has been offered the role of Jung Hyun Sung, a fashion designer wasting time on a struggling business while losing sight of both love and his dreams. Lee Seol has been offered the role of Han Sung Ok, a jewelry designer who runs a brand with Hyun Sung. When their business starts to suffer, she gets an office job to source more money but grows exhausted in the process.
“Man and Woman” is set to start airing in the second half of the year.
