Kim Dong Wook, Jin Ki Joo, And More Share Closing Comments Following 'My Perfect Stranger' Finale

Kim Dong Wook, Jin Ki Joo, Seo Ji Hye, and Lee Won Jung have said goodbye to “My Perfect Stranger”!

KBS2’s “My Perfect Stranger” is a fantasy time-travel drama starring Kim Dong Wook as Yoon Hae Joon, who wants to uncover the truth behind a serial murder case from the past, and Jin Ki Joo as Baek Yoon Young, who wants to prevent her parents’ wedding. After getting stuck in the year 1987 together, the two realize that their goals may be connected. On June 20, “My Perfect Stranger” concluded its run and recorded its highest viewership ratings.

Following the finale, lead actors Kim Dong Wook, Jin Ki Joo, Seo Ji Hye, and Lee Won Jung, as well as the drama’s production team, bid farewell to viewers with closing statements and behind-the-scenes photos.

Kim Dong Wook shared, “For starters, I’m glad we could wrap up safely. As I did my best in every scene, they’re all memorable. In particular, I think the ocean scene with Jin Ki Joo is the most memorable.” He added, “Good actors and producers gathered to work hard and create a good project, and I hope that gets rewarded. I sincerely thank you for giving us lots of love until the end.”

Jin Ki Joo commented, “This was a busy time that I was proud of. Since this is a drama that dives deep into time travel and family stories, there are so many memorable scenes. The most memorable scene is the one where she returns to 2021 and faces her new parents. The reason I chose this drama was because I was touched by the thought of being able to meet the younger version of your mother. I’m sure everyone watched with the same heart and I hope it’s remembered for a long time. Thank you for the love.”

Seo Ji Hye revealed that she had a hard time holding back tears after their last filming and explained, “While filming with Jin Ki Joo, who plays Yoon Young, I kept tearing up in places where the camera wouldn’t catch me. As we’ve been together for a long time, I feel both sad and refreshed to finish. Thank you so much for watching up until now. I hope this remains by your side as a warm drama.”

Lee Won Jung chose two scenes as the most memorable, sharing, “The guitar-playing scene at the picnic in Episode 4 and the scene where I was tortured in Episode 9. Both scenes were new, first-time experiences for me so they became lessons. I feel both sad and refreshed now that the project I thought would never end has come to a close. Every moment was deeply moving. I worked very hard, so thank you for the love.”

“My Perfect Stranger” director Kang Soo Yeon commented, “To the viewers who ran with us until the final episode, I hope the happiness achieved at the end remains rather than the sadness and pain of the middle. I hope this becomes a drama where the people ultimately remain rather than the incidents.”

Writer Baek So Yeon chimed in, “I would be endlessly glad if this was remembered as a warm story that makes you look back on the time spent with your loved ones. Thank you so much for being with ‘My Perfect Stranger’ until the end of its journey.”
