Gong Myung Joins So Ji Sub In Talks For His 1st Drama Since Military Discharge
Gong Myung may be starring alongside So Ji Sub in a new drama!
On July 4, Korean news outlet Ilgan Sports reported that Gong Myung was set to star in the upcoming drama adaptation of the hit webtoon “Plaza Wars.” According to the report, Gong Myung—who recently returned from the military—had been debating between several roles offered to him before ultimately choosing “Plaza Wars” for his first project since his military discharge.
However, later that evening, Gong Myung’s agency Saram Entertainment clarified that while the actor was in talks for the role, he had not yet made an official decision. “Actor Gong Myung has received a casting offer for the drama ‘Plaza Wars,’ and he is currently reviewing the offer with a favorable outlook,” stated the agency.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Plaza Wars” will tell the story of the two rival gangs that survived a fight for supremacy in front of Seoul’s National Assembly Plaza—and a man who embarks on a hunt for the truth after the sudden death of his younger brother.
So Ji Sub is also currently in talks to star in the upcoming drama.
