Park Bo Gum Confirmed To Make Musical Debut With 'Let Me Fly'

Park Bo Gum will be starring in his first musical!

On July 10, it was confirmed that Park Bo Gum will be starring in the musical “Let me fly,” which was nominated for six awards (Grand Prize, Best Musical, Best Original Screenplay, Best Composition, Best Arrangement/Music Director, Best New Actor) at the 7th Korea Musical Awards and won three of the categories including Best Musical, Best Composition (Min Chan Hong), and Best New Actor (Lee Hyung Hoon) in 2022.

“Let me fly” will tell the story of Nam Won, who becomes a 70-year-old grandfather due to effects from radio frequency during one night in 1969. A story that crosses in between the past and future, the immature Nam Won struggles to return to the past. In addition to Nam Won, there is grandmother Sun Hee who tries to help him and Nam Won’s one and only love Jung Boon.

Park Bo Gum will be playing the young Nam Won along with Ahn Ji Hwan and Shin Jae Beom. The older Nam Won will be portrayed by Kim Tae Hwan, Kim Do Bin, and Lee Hyung Hoon, Sun Hee will be played by Bang Jin Ui, Yoon Gong Joo, and Choi Soo Jin, and Jung Boon will be portrayed by Na Ha Na, Hong Ji Hee, and Im Ye Jin.

“Let me fly” is scheduled to perform a total of 100 times from September 26 to December 10 at the YES24 Stage in Seoul. Then, the cast will travel to greet audiences in Busan, Anyang, and more.
