'K-909' Responds To Reports Of NMIXX's Kyujin Getting Hit By Drone + Fire Breaking Out On Stage

JTBC’s “K-909” has officially addressed the reports of multiple accidents taking place during NMIXX’s shoot for the show.

On July 10, fans who attended the filming of NMIXX’s performance for the music talk show “K-909” reported that numerous safety concerns had arisen during the shoot. One fan wrote, “A fire broke out on stage, someone fainted, and a drone ripped out some of [Kyujin’s] hair… it was a shocking and horrifying pre-recording, so rather than feeling touched that I was able to hear [NMIXX’s] new song before their comeback, my primary concern was escaping.”

Later that evening, the “K-909” production team responded by explaining, “Because there was a problem with part of the set, the pink muhly grass that was a stage prop ended up catching fire. After we discovered the fire, we evacuated NMIXX, who had been on stage, and we immediately put out the fire with an extinguisher and ventilated [the area].”

However, they denied the reports that an audience member had fainted, stating, “During the shoot, there was one audience member who said they were not feeling well, so they left together with a staff member. We advised this audience member to go home, but they said they were okay and re-entered [the filming site].”

“This audience member watched the rest of the shoot while seated in a chair,” they continued. “We resumed filming after checking that the rest of the audience was okay.”

As for the reports that Kyujin had been struck by a drone, the “K-909” team said, “As soon as the drone got caught in Kyujin’s hair, we halted filming and checked to see if Kyujin was okay. After confirming that there was nothing wrong [with her], we completed filming.”

They concluded by stating, “There were no casualties, but we will work even harder to manage accidents in the future.”

Meanwhile, NMIXX will be making their comeback with the new single album “A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream” and its title track “Party O’Clock” on July 11 at 6 p.m. KST. Check out the group’s latest teasers here!
