"King The Land" Production Team Releases New Apology For Cultural Misrepresentation + Promises To Take Appropriate Measures
Following the statement released earlier this week, the production team of “King the Land” apologized to viewers once again.
Previously on July 8 and 9, “King the Land” aired episodes 7 and 8 featuring the new character Arab Prince Samir (Anupam Tripathi), portraying him as a womanizer who enjoys drinking with several women. As soon as these episodes were released, viewers criticized the drama for not respecting Arab culture regarding alcohol and demanded a sincere apology from the production team.
On July 12, the drama’s production team released a formal apology via JTBC’s social media accounts.
