Park Bo Young, Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, And More Are Earthquake Survivors In Upcoming Film "Concrete Utopia" Posters
Upcoming film “Concrete Utopia” has released new posters!
Loosely based on Part 2 of the hit webtoon “Joyful Outcast” (“Pleasant Neighbors”), “Concrete Utopia” is a new disaster thriller about the aftermath of a devastating earthquake. The film will follow the story that begins when the survivors gather at Hwang Goong Apartments, the only building left standing in an earthquake-ravaged Seoul.
The newly released poster below features the charms of the six main characters including the temporary leader of the residents of Hwang Goong Apartments Young Tak (Lee Byung Hun), married couple Min Sung (Park Seo Joon) and Myung Hwa (Park Bo Young), Geum Ae (Kim Sun Young), Hye Won (Park Ji Hoo), and Do Kyun (Kim Do Yoon). The text that reads, “Everything except for our apartment has collapsed,” raises viewers’ curiosity about the disastrous situation that these characters will face.
In another group poster below, the survivors of an earthquake in the backdrop of the completely wrecked apartment buildings exude a precarious atmosphere. Each character faces the front from different locations as if this foretells the various narratives of the characters who struggle to survive in their own way. In addition, the text that reads, “The rules of surviving—either you follow or leave,” heralds the conflicts between the residents in a life-or-death situation.
“Concrete Utopia” will hit theaters in Korea on August 9 and theaters in New York and Los Angeles on December 8 with a wide release on December 15. Check here for theater locations and tickets!
