Watch: "Queendom Puzzle" Wraps Up All-Rounder Battle With Exciting Performances Ahead Of 1st Eliminations

The “All-Rounder Battle” on Mnet’s “Queendom Puzzle” has come to a close!

A spin-off of the hit survival show “Queendom,” “Queendom Puzzle” features idols—including members of currently active girl groups—battling for spots in a new seven-member project girl group. Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon, who previously hosted the second season of “Queendom,” serves as the show’s MC.

On last week’s episode of “Queendom Puzzle,” the contestants officially began the All-Rounder Battle, in which they split up into two teams—the Queendom team and Puzzle team—to face off in five separate rounds. Each team put on a total of five performances for the battle: three vocal/rap performances and two dance performances. 

To determine the winner of the battle, each team’s scores from all five performances will be combined, and the team with the higher score will win the battle. (As a result, the numbers of wins and losses for each team doesn’t matter, only their final scores—a team could win three rounds and still lose the overall battle if their total score is lower than the other team’s.)

After kicking things off with the three vocal/rap rounds last week, this week’s episode featured the remaining two dance rounds, both of which featured the teams performing brand-new songs.

Round 4

In the fourth round, six members of the Puzzle Team—woo!ah!’s Nana, LIGHTSUM’s Sangah, Rocket Punch’s Suyun, CLC’s Yeeun, woo!ah!’s Wooyeon, and Lovelyz’s Kei—teamed up to perform “BAD BLOOD.”

Meanwhile, six members of the Queendom Team—Dohwa (AOA’s Chanmi), Shiroma Miru, tripleS’s Seoyeon, Weeekly’s Lee Soojin, tripleS’s Jiwoo, and Fye—joined forces to perform “Overwater.”

Round 5

In the fifth and final round, seven members of the Puzzle Team—H1-KEY’s Riina, Cherry Bullet’s Bora, WJSN’s Yeoreum, PURPLE KISS’s Yuki, Weeekly’s Zoa, Cherry Bullet’s Jiwon, and Weeekly’s Jihan—performed the new song “WEB.”

Finally, seven members of the Queendom Team—Weeekly’s Soeun, Weki Meki’s Elly, Rocket Punch’s Yeonhee, MOMOLAND’s JooE, Rocket Punch’s Takahashi Juri, Cherry Bullet’s Chaerin, and H1-KEY’s Hwiseo—wrapped up the battle with a performance of “Glow-up.”

At the end of the episode, Taeyeon surprised the contestants and studio audience members by announcing that the results of the final two rounds would not be revealed right away. Instead, the results will be revealed during next week’s live broadcast, along with the current top seven based on the ongoing global vote.

Taeyeon also announced that five contestants will be eliminated on next week’s episode, which will air live on July 25 at 10 p.m. KST.
