Kim Min Ju Joins Roh Yoon Seo And Hong Kyung In Talks For "Hear Me" Remake Film
Kim Min Ju has joined Roh Yoon Seo and Hong Kyung in talks to star in a new film!
On July 19, industry insiders shared that Kim Min Ju will star in the Korean remake of the Taiwanese film “Hear Me.”
In response to the report, Kim Min Ju’s agency Management SOOP stated, “[The actress] received an offer [to star in the film] and is currently reviewing it positively.”
According to the report, Kim Min Ju was offered the role of the younger sister of the female lead character that Roh Yoon Seo is in talks for. In the original Taiwanese film, the character is the older sister Xiao Peng who is a swimmer, but the same character is reported to be the younger sister in the Korean remake.
“Hear Me” is a 2009 Taiwanese romantic comedy film starring Ivy Chen, Eddie Peng, and Michelle Chen and tells the story of a hearing man who falls in love at first sight with a hearing-impaired woman. Upon the movie’s first release in Korea, “Hear Me” received huge love which resulted in the film having a solid Korean fan base.
Kim Min Ju debuted as a member of the project group IZ*ONE via “Produce 48” in 2018. After signing with Management SOOP last September, Kim Min Ju appeared in the drama “The Forbidden Marriage,” showcasing her solid acting skills.
