Jo Byeong Gyu In Talks To Star In New Historical Drama
On July 31, a Korean media outlet reported that Jo Byeong Gyu will star in the new drama “Saeraenadae” (romanized title).
In response to the report, Jo Byeong Gyu’s agency HB Entertainment shared, “It is a project that [the actor] is currently reviewing.”
Set against the backdrop of a virtual Joseon, “Saeraenadae” depicts the love story between a prince of Joseon, who wants to escape from the country to be happy, and a young lady from a poor family, who wants to be happy by becoming successful in Joseon.
Jo Byeong Gyu has reportedly been offered the role of Park Yeong, a prince of Joseon who disguises himself as a reclusive unemployed man.
Jo Byeong Gyu debuted with the drama “Who Are You” in 2015 and impressed viewers through “SKY Castle.” The actor built a solid filmography by appearing in “Arthdal Chronicles,” “Stove League,” and “The Uncanny Counter,” which recently premiered Season 2.
