NewJeans' "Super Shy" Becomes Their 1st Song To Spend 4 Weeks On UK's Official Singles Chart
NewJeans has set new personal records on the United Kingdom’s Official Charts with “Get Up” and “Super Shy“!
Last week, NewJeans became the second K-pop girl group in history (following BLACKPINK) to enter the Official Albums Chart, where their new mini album “Get Up” debuted at No. 15.
On August 4 local time, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts (typically regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) revealed that “Get Up” had successfully remained on the Official Albums Chart for a second week at No. 38.
Meanwhile, NewJeans’ hit pre-release track “Super Shy” stayed strong at No. 61 on the Official Singles Chart, making it the group’s first song ever to chart for four weeks.
Notably, only two other K-pop girl groups—BLACKPINK and FIFTY FIFTY—have ever had a song spend four weeks on the Official Singles Chart to date.
Congratulations to NewJeans!
