"King The Land" Heads Into Finale On Its Highest Saturday Ratings Yet
JTBC’s “King the Land” enjoyed a rise in viewership ahead of its series finale!
On August 5, the hit romantic comedy—which has just one episode left to go—earned its highest ratings to date for a Saturday (when its ratings have typically been lower compared to Sundays). According to Nielsen Korea, the penultimate episode of “King the Land” scored an average nationwide rating of 11.9 percent, taking first place in its time slot across all channels.
Meanwhile, TV Chosun’s “Durian’s Affair” climbed to its highest viewership ratings yet as it kicked off the final two weeks of its run. The latest episode of the fantasy romance scored an average nationwide rating of 6.8 percent, marking a new personal record for the series.
MBC’s new drama “My Dearest” earned an average nationwide rating of 4.3 percent for its second episode, while SBS’s “The First Responders 2″—which airs in the same time slot—scored a nationwide average of 5.1 percent for its own second episode.
tvN’s “The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch” dipped to an average nationwide rating of 4.3 percent for its third episode, though the figure still marked an improvement from last Saturday’s season premiere.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “The Real Has Come!” scored an average nationwide rating of 21.2 percent, successfully remaining the most-watched program of any kind to air on Saturday.
