NewJeans Becomes 3rd K-Pop Girl Group To Chart An Album In Top 10 Of Billboard 200 For Multiple Weeks
NewJeans has achieved an impressive feat on the Billboard 200!
Last week, NewJeans debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart with their new mini album “Get Up,” marking their very first time entering the chart.
For the week ending on August 12, “Get Up” stayed strong at No. 6 in its second consecutive week on the Billboard 200.
With this achievement, NewJeans has become only the third K-pop girl group in history to chart an album for more than one week in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, following BLACKPINK and TWICE.
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “Get Up” earned a total of 55,000 equivalent album units in its second week.
Meanwhile, NewJeans’ hit pre-release single “Super Shy” remained on Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 77, making it the group’s third song to spend four weeks on the chart (after “Ditto” and “OMG“).
Congratulations to NewJeans on their success on the U.S. charts!
