Stray Kids And ATEEZ Earn Circle Quintuple Million And Million Certifications; BLACKPINK's Lisa, IVE, And More Go Platinum
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
On August 10, Circle Chart awarded Stray Kids their first-ever quintuple million certification for their latest album “★★★★★ (5-STAR),” which has sold over 5 million copies since its release in June.
Meanwhile, ATEEZ earned two separate certifications for their latest mini album “THE WORLD EP.2 : OUTLAW.” The regular version of the album earned an official million certification for over 1 million copies sold, while the MINIRECORD version was certified platinum for over 250,000 copies sold.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa earned a triple platinum certification for her solo debut single album “LALISA,” which has sold over 750,000 copies since its release in September 2021.
IVE also earned a double platinum certification for their debut single album “ELEVEN,” which has sold over 500,000 copies since its release in December 2021.
SHINee’s latest album “HARD,” NCT’s Taeyong’s solo debut mini album “SHALALA,” and the POCA version of (G)I-DLE’s “I feel” were all certified platinum after selling 250,000 copies each.
Over in the streaming category, NewJeans’ 2022 hit “Ditto” and BTOB’s 2018 title track “Only one for me” were both certified platinum for reaching 100 million streams each.
Finally, Lauv’s “Paris in the Rain” was certified double platinum after surpassing 200 million streams.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
