Ji Chang Wook, Wi Ha Joon, BIBI, And Im Se Mi Are Entangled In New Crime-Action Drama "The Worst Of Evil"
Disney+ has unveiled new character posters for its upcoming series “The Worst of Evil”!
Set in the 1990s, “The Worst of Evil” is a crime-action drama about an investigation launched to take down a major cartel based in Gangnam that is responsible for illegal drug trade between Korea, Japan, and China.
Ji Chang Wook will star as Park Joon Mo, a detective who undertakes the dangerous mission of going undercover to infiltrate the Gangnam Alliance and earn the trust of mob boss Jung Ki Chul.
Praising Ji Chang Wook’s portrayal of his character, “The Worst of Evil” director Han Dong Wook remarked, “I think he may be talked about [in the future] as an actor who showed one of the best acting performances ever in the undercover genre.”
Wi Ha Joon will star in the drama as Jung Ki Chul, the ruthless leader of the Gangnam Alliance, who clawed his way to the top of the mob after a painful childhood. When it comes to success, Jung Ki Chul is willing to resort to any means necessary.
However, the vicious mob boss finds himself experiencing conflicting emotions towards Park Joon Mo and Yoo Eui Jung, both of whom he relies on—but who also arouse his suspicion.
Im Se Mi will play Yoo Eui Jung, an elite narcotics officer who is both Park Joon Mo’s wife and Jung Ki Chul’s first love. Not only does she stand between the drama’s two leads as an emotional link, but she is also an ace police officer taking part in the investigation.
Finally, BIBI will play the role of Hae Ryun, who plays a vital role in the Chinese drug factory’s distribution. Hae Ryun travels to Korea for a deal with Jung Ki Chul, but after she meets Park Joon Mo, she winds up causing an unexpected new incident.
Finally, director Han Dong Wook summed up “The Worst of Evil” by describing it as “a story about people who are willing to give up everything for what they want.”
“The Worst of Evil” will premiere on September 27.
