Sulli's Posthumous Film Confirms Release Plans + To Be Screened At Busan International Film Festival
“Persona: Sulli” is gearing up for its release.
On September 6, Mystic Story, the production company of “Persona: Sulli,” confirmed that the film will be released in the second half of this year and unveiled a main poster.
According to Mystic Story, “Persona: Sulli” is divided into two parts—the short feature film “4: Clean Island” starring Sulli as the lead and the feature-length documentary film “Dear Jinri.”
“4: Clean Island” follows the story of “4,” who dreams of immigrating to the Clean Island, which is the cleanest place in the world, as she shares the story about a special pig at a strange immigration checkpoint where people have to confess their sins in order to pass through.
“Dear Jinri” is a feature-length documentary film that conveys the various daily concerns and thoughts that actor and artist Sulli as well as 25-year-old Choi Jinri (Sulli’s real name) felt in the form of an interview. In particular, “Dear Jinri” will make its world premiere through its screening in the Documentary Showcase of the Wide Angle section at the 28th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). This year’s BIFF will be held over 10 days from October 4 to October 13 in the vicinity of the Busan Cinema Center.
In the poster, Sulli is sitting in front of the camera, raising anticipation for her new side as an actress to be shown through “Persona: Sulli.”
“Persona: Sulli” will be released in the second half of 2023. Stay tuned for more updates!
