“Strong Girl Namsoon” Teases Epic Showdown Between Lee Yoo Mi's Family And Villain Byun Woo Seok In New Poster
JTBC’s “Strong Girl Namsoon” has dropped a new poster!
A spin-off of the hit drama “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” “Strong Girl Namsoon” is a comedy drama about three generations of women born with unbelievable strength as they uncover the truth behind the drug-related crimes that occur around Gangnam area.
Lee Yoo Mi takes on the role of Do Bong Soon’s second cousin Gang Nam Soon, an eccentric and lively person with amazing strength who flew from Mongolia to find her parents. Kim Jung Eun plays Gang Nam Soon’s mother Hwang Geum Joo, a money tycoon in Gangnam with a strong sense of justice. Kim Hae Sook portrays Gang Nam Soon’s maternal grandmother Gil Joong Gan, a living legend in the neighborhood of Majang.
The newly revealed main poster offers a sneak peek into the captivating battle infused with comedy and catharsis between the unstoppable Gang Nam Soon’s family and the cunning villain Ryu Shi Oh (Byun Woo Seok). Nam Soon’s confident grin, accompanied by her poised punch, foreshadows her role as the force capable of defeating villains with just her bare fists. Meanwhile, Hwang Geum Joo, riding a powerful motorcycle, is set to transform into Gangnam’s Batgirl, injecting excitement into the series through exhilarating high-speed chase sequences. Finally, Gil Joong Gan mesmerizes viewers with her extraordinary strength, a striking contrast to her cheerful expression.
The opposite side of the poster introduces viewers to the passionate detective Kang Hee Shik and the cold-blooded antagonist Ryu Shi Oh. Ong Seong Wu takes on the role of Kang Hee Shik, the youngest police officer at Gangnam Han River Police Station, known for his sense of justice, knowledge, and moral character. In contrast, Byun Woo Seok will portray Ryu Shi Oh, a villain driven by ambitious greed who is also the CEO of Dugo, a distribution and sales company. While Kang Hee Shik’s poster hints at his unwavering commitment to justice, Ryu Shi Oh’s inscrutable gaze implies the complexity of his character.
The production team teased, “In this evolved ‘Strong Woman’ universe, we will introduce heroes and villains with even more compelling charms. Please look forward to the birth of the ‘mother-daughter heroines’ who will shake up the villains.”
“Strong Girl Namsoon” is set to premiere on October 7 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here!
