Spoilers
At the end of Part 1, Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae parted ways through a heartbreaking farewell that left viewers devastated. Although the couple came close to running away together, Yoo Gil Chae ultimately changed her mind after seeing her father suffering from dementia and realizing that her family needed her.
Amidst this situation, a new teaser clip for Part 2 was released on October 4. The video features Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae looking at the moon in the night sky, missing each other from a far distance. Jang Hyun says, “It’s strange. On days like this when the moon is so bright, I am always with you,” sinking into memories he shares with Yoo Gil Chae. Then, he continues, “I don’t know from where it went wrong,” showing regrets for his past when he let go of Yoo Gil Chae’s hand.
Moreover, new character Gak Hwa (Lee Chung Ah), who was depicted as the mysterious woman wearing a blue mask in Part 1, finally unveils her identity. Gak Hwa in her fancy clothing from the Qing Dynasty tells Jang Hyun, “I would rather see the man I want torn to death than lose him to another woman,” suggesting her dangerous love for him.

In the first poster below, Lee Jang Hyun stares somewhere with teary eyes late at night. From his facial expression, viewers can read his deep regret about his past when he had no choice but to let go of Yoo Gil Chae’s hand. The text that reads, “I missed your smiling face,” conveys his devoted love for Yoo Gil Chae.
In another character poster below, Yoo Gil Chae is deeply immersed in her thoughts. A scar on her forehead that had never been there before captures viewers’ attention. The text that reads, “It’s not that I abandoned it. I just couldn’t have it,” reminds viewers of Gil Chae’s star-crossed fate.
