Lim Ji Yeon And Ko Gun Han Are Police Officers Disguised As High School Students In “The Killing Vote”

“The Killing Vote” has shared new stills from its upcoming episode!

Based on a popular webtoon, “The Killing Vote” asks the question “What is your idea of justice?” and delves into the concept of a nationwide death penalty vote against vicious criminals who deftly manage to escape the law’s blind spots. The drama highlights the story of a mysterious figure known as “Gae Tal” (dog mask), who executes the death penalty depending on the results of a vote, and the police who are pursuing them.

Park Hae Jin plays Kim Moo Chan, the head of Team 1 of the regional investigation unit at the Southern Provincial Police Agency. Lim Ji Yeon plays the role of Joo Hyun, a fifth-year lieutenant at the Cyber Security Bureau of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Park Sung Woong stars as Kwon Suk Joo, a long-term prison inmate who turned himself in after personally killing the culprit who sexually assaulted his eight-year-old daughter.

In the last broadcast, it was revealed that Kwon Suk Joo was the real mastermind behind the death penalty vote. Moreover, as Kwon Suk Joo managed to break through the walls of the police headquarters and escape, it is expected that the upcoming episodes will feature a head-to-head battle all-out war between the police and Kwon Suk Joo’s “Gae Tal” group.

In the newly released stills, Joo Hyun is captured in a park dressed in a school uniform with Kim Jo Dan (Ko Gun Han), a police officer and her cyber team colleague who is also part of the Special Investigation Unit for the National Death Penalty Case. In one still, Joo Hyun who is looking at a phone screen with a serious facial expression is seemingly surprised when a message pops up.

The fact that police officers Joo Hyun and Kim Jo Dan are both wearing school uniforms suggests that they are in disguise for an investigation. As members of the Special Investigation Unit for the National Death Penalty Case, they must focus on catching Kwon Suk Joo to prevent another national death penalty case from happening. Viewers are keen to find out what clues Joo Hyun and Jo Dan will find from their disguises and how these clues will affect the search for Kwon Suk Joo.

The production team of “The Killing Vote” commented, “In the upcoming ninth episode, the confrontation between the police and the ‘Gae Tal’ group will become more tense after Kwon Suk Joo’s escape. The police, including Kim Moo Chan and Joo Hyun, will try to catch Kwon Suk Joo by any means necessary. In the process, Joo Hyun will take a different approach and try to get to Kwon Suk Joo using her own method.”
