TEMPEST's Hwarang To Undergo Surgery + Temporarily Sit Out Activities
TEMPEST’s Hwarang will be undergoing surgery for his shoulder injury.
On October 19, Yuehua Entertainment officially announced that Hwarang had been advised that he needed surgery for his injured shoulder.
According to the agency, Hwarang will attend TEMPEST’s upcoming fan signing event on October 22 as scheduled, but afterwards, he will temporarily be sitting out the group’s activities—including those in Japan—in order to focus on his recovery.
Yuehua Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is Yuehua Entertainment.
We are making an announcement regarding Hwarang’s future schedule.
Hwarang has been advised by a doctor that he needs surgery in order to recover from his shoulder injury, so he plans to focus entirely on his recovery while undergoing surgery and all necessary treatment.
Out of respect for Hwarang’s wish to meet his fans, he will attend the fan signing event scheduled for October 22, but we are informing you that he will inevitably be unable to participate in some future fan signing events and Japanese release events held after that date.
We will make another announcement when Hwarang is able to return to activities.
We apologize for giving cause for concern to the fans who support TEMPEST, and we will do our utmost to help Hwarang recover his health.
Thank you.
Wishing Hwarang the speediest of recoveries!
