NewJeans' "Get Up" Becomes 1st K-Pop Girl Group Album To Spend 12 Weeks In Top 70 Of Billboard 200
Three months after its release, NewJeans’ latest album remains a steady hit in the United States!
Back in August, NewJeans made history as the fastest female K-pop act ever to debut on the Billboard 200 when their second mini album “Get Up” entered the chart at No. 1. In the months since, the mini album has stayed strong on the chart, without dropping out of the top 100 for a single week.
This week, NewJeans became the first female K-pop artist ever to chart an album for 12 consecutive weeks in the top 70 of the Billboard 200: for the week ending on October 21, “Get Up” held steady at No. 66 in its 12th week on the chart.
“Get Up” also stayed strong at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 15 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 16 on the Top Album Sales chart.
Meanwhile, NewJeans climbed back up to No. 36 on Billboard’s Artist 100, marking their 16th overall week on the chart.
Finally, many of NewJeans’ songs continued to perform well on Billboard’s global charts this week. On Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Super Shy” ranked No. 34, followed by “GODS” at No. 44, “ETA” at No. 69, “OMG” at No. 136, “Ditto” at No. 152, and “Hype Boy” at No. 198. On the Global 200, “Super Shy” came in at No. 59, “GODS” at No. 75, and “ETA” at No. 121.
Congratulations to NewJeans on their impressive new record!
