'The Matchmakers' Premieres To No. 1 Ratings

KBS2’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “The Matchmakers” has joined the ratings race!

According to Nielsen Korea, Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun’s new historical rom-com “The Matchmakers” premiered to an average nationwide rating of 4.5 percent.

“The Matchmakers” tells the story of the meeting between the young widower Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon) and young widow Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun) as well as the struggle the two go through together to marry off Joseon era’s unmarried women and men who are considered older than the typical prime age range.

Meanwhile, episode 11 of tvN’s “Twinkling Watermelon” achieved an average nationwide viewership rating of 3.3 percent, seeing a slight decrease from its previous episode’s rating of 3.5 percent.

Finally, ENA’s “Evilive,” which changed its broadcasting schedule from Saturday-Sunday to Sunday-Monday starting from October 22, aired its sixth episode last night and garnered an average nationwide rating of 1.3 percent. This is a 0.3 percent increase from its previous episode’s rating of 1.0 percent.
