Im Siwan Transforms Into A Country Boy Who Climbs To The Top Of His School's Social Ladder In "Boyhood"
Coupang Play’s upcoming drama “Boyhood” has unveiled a new poster!
Set in the backdrop of Buyeo Agricultural High School in Chungcheong Province in the 1980s, “Boyhood” follows the story of high school student Byung Tae, a loner whose only goal is to not get beat up but who becomes the most powerful kid overnight. The drama stars Im Siwan, Lee Sun Bin, Lee Si Woo, and Kang Hye Won, and director Lee Myung Woo who helmed the dramas “The Fiery Priest” and “Backstreet Rookie” is in charge of production.
Im Siwan takes on the role of Jang Byung Tae, a small and weak boy living in Onyang of South Chungcheong Province. Jang Byung Tae, who is at the bottom of the school’s social ladder, transfers to the neighboring Buyeo Agricultural High School. There, he faces an unexpected incident that becomes a turning point in his life.
The newly released poster features Im Siwan standing majestically on a rice field with eyes full of determination. The way he holds up a shovel in one hand and a ponytail radish in another creates both solemn and witty vibes. On top of this, the text that reads, “Let’s go~” in Chungcheong dialect raises anticipation for an entertaining story that will unfold.
“Boyhood” is set to premiere on November 24 and will air every Friday at 8 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
Until then, watch Im Siwan in “Summer Strike”:
