SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, TWICE's MISAMO, And LE SSERAFIM Confirmed To Perform On This Year's Kōhaku Uta Gassen
SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, TWICE’s MISAMO, and LE SSERAFIM have been invited to perform on Japan’s popular show Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle)!
On November 13, the live press conference revealing the performer lineup for NHK’s 74th Kōhaku Uta Gassen officially confirmed that SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, LE SSERAFIM, and MISAMO will be performing at the year-end program.
At the press conference, Stray Kids’ Bang Chan expressed his thoughts on behalf of the group, saying, “The eight of us feel truly honored to be able to perform on Kōhaku Uta Gassen. We will do our best to perform well so that viewers can enjoy the holiday season.”
MISAMO’s Mina also remarked, “It is such an honor to be able to participate on Kōhaku Uta Gassen in the same year that we started our activities in Japan. We think that [it was possible] thanks to fans who support us, so we will do our best to present a great performance.”
SEVENTEEN delivered their message through a video, saying, “We are so happy to be able to perform on Kōhaku Uta Gassen, which was one of our goals since debuting in Japan. Thank you!”
As NHK’s representative year-end program, Kōhaku Uta Gassen takes place every year on December 31. Kōhaku Uta Gassen will be held at NHK Hall in Shibuya city in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, LE SSERAFIM, and MISAMO, JYP Entertainment’s Japanese girl group NiziU, who recently made their Korean debut, will be performing at the event for the fourth year.
